Babycakes Garlic Bread Poppers

Lasagna roll with garlic bread poppers
Still experimenting with savory appetizers with my Babycakes Cake Pop Maker.  I had a tube of Garlic and Herb Bread Sticks in the refrigerator.  I thought to myself, why not.  I bet the garlic breadsticks would be perfect in the cake pop maker in making garlic bread balls.

I opened the package and unrolled the dough.  Spread the buttery garlic spread that was provided onto the sticks and determined that the breadsticks were to large so cut them in half.  I then rolled each of the bread stick halves with the garlic butter on the inside.  Simply put the rolls into the well of the Babycakes Cake Pop Maker and close lid making sure it locks and cook for 4 minutes.

Spread with garlic butter.

Roll with garlic on inside.

Place into wells of the Babycake Cake Pop Maker

Cook for minutes with lid locked

Making you hungry?
They turned out great.  The breadsticks I had could have used more garlic.  I think next time I make these, I will just get the regular refrigerated breadsticks and make my own garlic butter.  Twelve garlic bread poppers in just 4 minutes and one tube of garlic bread sticks turn into 20 garlic bread poppers in just 8 minutes.  After each batch, wipe out the wells of excess butter with a paper towel.

I have found that working with savory appetizers in the Babycakes Cake Pop Cooker that meats and cheeses sometimes leave residue in the wells. Here is an easy cleanup method, if needed.  Simply put about a quarter to half teaspoon of water into the wells and close the lid.  The water will boil and steam in the wells and after a few seconds, open lid and unplug.  Just a warning, the boiling water will probably leak out onto the counter a little bit.  Let cool and dump out any extra water and wipe clean with a damp cloth.

  1. These sound delish! Now if I can only find one of the cake pop makers. I'm headed to a much larger city today so maybe I'll get lucky and find one there.

  2. Thanks for the cleaning tips. I love all the things you can do with these machines my 4 year old niece loves helping me bake and she can pretty much do everything but take cupcakes out of the machine now.
