The Babycakes Mini Donut Maker is not just for making donuts! If you have this machine, you must try this.
Dust off your bread machine that you put away in the closet. You will need this to make these delicious morsels.
Mini Donut Maker Bread:
3 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup Corn Meal
1 tsp. Salt
3 Tbsp. Sugar
2 1/2 tsp. Active Dry Yeast
3 Tbsp. Shortening, melted
1 cup Milk
1/8 cup Water
1 Egg
Directions:
Add flour, cornmeal, salt, sugar and yeast to bread machine. In a 2 cup microwave safe measuring cup add 1 cup milk, shortening, and water. Heat the liquids to about 95 degrees in the microwave. Add egg to mixture and stir immediately to prevent scrambled egg. Add to dry ingredients in the bread machine. Set to dough setting and start.
When dough is finished (I think my bread machine took 95 minutes for the dough setting), cut into 4 equal parts. Roll each part into a log and cut into half lengthwise and then into 8 equal portions. Repeat for the other 3 parts.
In your preheated Babycakes Mini Donut Maker, spray with a little cooking spray and fill the wells with the dough portions and lock down the lid. Cook for about 3 1/2 minutes. Rolls will be crusty (firm) on the outside and soft on the inside. Dough mixture will make 32 rolls.
Cut into half with a serrated knife and fill with hot pulled pork mixture.
This bread holds up to the saucy meat mixture without falling apart.
Is there a recipe for the hot pulled pork?
