Bacon Tater Tots

Recipe with only two ingredients, bacon and frozen tater tots.

Other items needed:  foil lined cookie sheet (for easy cleanup), cutting board, knife, toothpicks (plain), tongs, oven mitt, paper towels and a plate

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Put frozen tater tots onto a microwave safe plate in a single layer and microwave on high for one minute.  Set aside.

Place bacon on cutting board and cut in half (if bacon is long, you may just want to cut it into thirds instead).

Wrap each tater tot with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick near the end of the bacon and place onto the foil lined cookie sheet toothpick straight up.  Don't crowd.

Place into oven on middle rack and bake for 10 minutes.  After the 10 minutes, turn each tot on it's side and cook 5 minutes, and turn over to the other side and cook 5 minutes again.

Remove from oven with oven mitt and promptly remove and place on a paper towel lined plate.

Toothpicks can either be retained or removed.  The toothpicks make it easy to pickup and eat.

Serve and watch them quickly disappear!
